창세기 30:22~23

하나님이 라헬을 생각하신지라 하나님이 그의 소원을

들으시고 그의 태를 여셨으므로 그가 임신하여 아들을 낳고

이르되 하나님이 내 부끄러움을 씻으셨다 하고

창세기 32:28

그가 이르되 네 이름을 다시는 야곱이라 부를 것이 아니요

이스라엘이라 부를 것이니 이는 네가 하나님과 및

사람들과 겨루어 이겼음이니라

창세기 32:30

그러므로 야곱이 그곳 이름을 브니엘이라 하였으니

그가 이르기를 내가 하나님과 대면하여 보았으나

내 생명이 보전되었다 함이더라

창세기 35:3

우리가 일어나 벧엘로 올라가자 내 환난 날에

내게 응답하시며 내가 가는 길에서 나와 함께하신 하나님께

내가 거기서 제단을 쌓으려 하노라 하매

창세기 35:11

하나님이 그에게 이르시되 나는 전능한 하나님이라

생육하며 번성하라 한 백성과 백성들의 총회가

네게서 나오고 왕들이 네 허리에서 나오리라

Genesis 30:22~23

Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. So she conceived and gave birth to a son, and said, “God has taken away my disgrace.”

Genesis 32:28

Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have contended with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

Genesis 32:30

So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been spared.”

Genesis 35:3

And let’s arise and go up to Bethel, and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me on the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone.

Genesis 35:11

God also said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a multitude of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from you.”
